Erin was born and raised in Yakima, where she earned her Associate’s degree with a focus in applied sciences from Yakima Valley Community College.She then enrolled at Central Washington University; graduating in 2012 with her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
Erin believes that each individual deserves a program as unique as they are, infused with challenge and built for success. She is passionate about using movement to heal, as evidenced by her 7 years of professional experience in various rehabilitation settings, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and equine (pediatric autism) therapy. She became a Certified Weight Trainer through the International Weightlifting Association in 2009, and is currently pursuing her Personal Training certification from the American College of Sports Medicine.
Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate provided a solid foundation for her life of fitness; she was a daily practitioner for 12 years. During this time, she earned her black belt and taught a wide variety of courses such as: kickboxing, women’s self defense, children’s self defense, bully-smart (anti-bullying program for elementary and middle schools), and traditional karate for children, youth, and adults.
Erin is an avid dancer, who enjoys hiking, yoga, and traveling. She and her fiance co-own a mobile DJ company, and love bringing joy to the community by making memories through music.

I have been at Promotion Functional Fitness I have been moving closer to those goals. I work with Erin at Pro Motion and she is a great support, motivator and wealth of knowledge when I have questions. She is very patient and keeps me focused. I started with physical therapy on the PT side of this business about 18 months ago for about two... months with a back injury that had me nearly bedridden for several weeks. After I completed my physical therapy, I started weight training at Pro-Motion Functional Fitness with my physical therapist assistant, Jacob Garcia. To call the program Jacob has had me working on for over a year now life changing would be a huge understatement.
