18All good things come in threes, or so it is sometimes said. Three emerges in various contexts. When a group is looking to perform in synchronization, they count to three. When referring to luck, we often hear the phrase, “Third time’s a charm.” The root of any harmonic chord exists in a triad of three notes. We all live in a three-dimensional world.
Given this tendency toward “threes,” it’s not far fetched to consider the human body in threes. We believe we are all three dimensional beings composed of mind, body, and spirit. Our quality of life emerges from the balance and integration of these three aspects. A person can be physically healthy but emotionally distraught, sharp and intelligent but physically hindered, or can be centered spiritually but lost physically or mentally.
We Urge You to “Be”
To achieve the “Move-Meant,” your function must find balance between mind, body, and spirit for three dimensional growth. With your mind, we urge you to “Be Connected;” with your body, we advocate you to “Be Strong;” with your spirit, we encourage you to “Believe.”
In this space, we will explore the intersections between mind, body, and spirit. We will ponder the beauty and necessity of understanding your body as a complex system comprised of these elements, as we dive deeply into what it means to move from health minus to health plus framed under the “Move-Meant.”
All good things come in threes and the body is no different. Just as a chord is built upon the harmonious connection between three notes and just as we see our world in three dimensions, the complex body functions best under the unity and balance of mind, body, and spirit.
So be connected; be strong; believe.
Most importantly, in all things, we hope you will “Be Moved.”
I started with physical therapy on the PT side of this business about 18 months ago for about two... months with a back injury that had me nearly bedridden for several weeks. After I completed my physical therapy, I started weight training at Pro-Motion Functional Fitness with my physical therapist assistant, Jacob Garcia. To call the program Jacob has had me working on for over a year now life changing would be a huge understatement. Overall, I can't say enough good things about Jacob and all the staff and therapists I've met at Pro-Motion Physical Therapy. They are friendly, professional, know their jobs and clearly enjoy their work. Most importantly, I've seen astronomical improvement in my health and well-being and my strength.read more
